The Club
Built in a railway arch.
KILO started in 2019 with six barbells, a leaking arch in Hackney Wick, and a rule that every session would be coached. The roof is fixed now. The rule isn’t going anywhere.
Today it’s 6 competition platforms, 4,200kg of iron, and 250 members who nod at each other’s PBs on the board by the door. No mirrors ever got installed. Nobody has asked.

Standards
House rules.
01
Rack your plates.
The next lifter shouldn’t archaeology your workout.
02
Chalk stays at the bar.
It’s a strength club, not a snow globe.
03
Spot when asked. Ask when unsure.
Both take ten seconds and zero ego.
04
Cheer the last rep, whoever’s lifting.
PBs are a team sport here.
05
Leave your phone in the cubby.
The board only counts lifts, not likes.
